A retrospective journey to the West

Hi mates,

Wish you all a very happy new year!! This is the first blog I have ever created in my life, thanks to the space provided by the founder of this 5D1 class blog--Eddy. Unquestionably, today I am going to share our photographs in Bath and London as an act of appreciation for his efforts in our class.

Well, the first city to be introduced is The Magnificent London. In the afternoon of the 1st of March 2008, Eddy touched down safely at London Heathrow Airport and everything has gone well. We immediately made our way to Malaysian hall for check-in and began the first day of our trip. After placing our luggages, we hopped on the underground train and headed to a place where all the popular landmarks situated--Westminster. As we have prebooked tickets for a ride on London Eye (The world's biggest ferris wheel, well it was the biggest, but now the biggest one is in Singapore), we quickly rushed to the entrance and managed to get on one of the capsules.

.
After a 30 minutes ride, we walked around the riverbank and took some night shots with a clumsy tripod. Eddy was tired after an 24 hours flight, so we decided to finish the day with an early sleep.
.
Can anyone spot the dark side of the House of Parliament? Is it a measure of energy saving or just simply the stupid guard forgot to switch the lights on?

.
ZZzzzzz....Snoreeeeee....Eddy was happily in sweetdream and adjusting his biological clock to UK time. In the next morning, we headed to St. Paul's Cathedral because it is one of London's most visited sites. The story behind it? I don't know, sorry. Eddy might know the story as he did some homeworks beforehand.

.
Then, we made our way to Buckingham Palace where Queen Elizabeth II and the royal family live (Prince William and Prince Harry might be in, but we are not their fans). The interesting bit is those guards stand still and marching in front of the palace, here it is.
.
I wonder what he would do if he feels itchy? scratch? don't think so.
.

Were they coming to catch Eddy? Actually not, they are having parade on the street for the celebration of the Queen.

Later in the evening, we had an appointment to meet all world class celebrities, without squeezing in crowd. First to introduce is Eddy's girl friend, here we are.

All the joys and excitement are implied on his face. Must ask Eddy if she is his dream girl? Can anyone guess who is the lady in the picture?

Why there is a lamp post at the middle? Is he a third party or just a pedestrian? Keke..

Eddy was in trouble and he was yelling for help but to no avail, because I know he was acting :p

Can anyone distinguish which one is the Harry Potter? The answer is very obvious.

Be careful eddy, he is a pirate, don't MCC.

Princess Diana : If I have a daughter, I may want him (eddy) to be my son-in-law.

Eddy, don't be naughty. He might want to flip the dress over instead of pressing it down because we are curious about what's inside.

Hehe, there were too many celebrities inside, but I only state a few. They are actually wax sculptures, looked so lively and hard to tell which one is real or fake without touching them. Sometimes, we took a few seconds to figure out if the person in the studio is a sculpture or human being because the sculptures are put randomly in the crowd.

Afterthat, we ended the day with dinner in the chinatown. One of the dishes that we ordered is Crispy Duck (quite similar to Beijing Roast Duck, but this one has meats and drier). Till here for today, thanks for reading. I shall post more photographs up next time if I'm still free. Take care!

回忆9久。后记

Finally we have made it happened! The 7th 5D12002 TXH@Fraser Hill!!!

A lot of people that I have to thanks so much....

Chen ah, Thank you very very very much ar... I really appreciate what you have done for us. Sorry for troubling you so much, to prepare the food, to prepare all the neccessary stuffs and carry them all the way from skc to Fraser Hill. Thanks for lending your hand when I really feel helpless. You are just like a big sister since highschool time, whenever I call for help, you will never ever say no to me... Thanks you ah!!! I will always remember the time when we cycling together to school with Hui Ling and you guys are the best alarm for me when I am almost late to school.

Ying Yee, My great sister who will always worry this and that for me, ask me whether I have the time to prepare this and that or not. Always take her initiative to offer helps, to get the van ready. Thank you so much! Not to deny that you are the best friend that keep in touch most frequent in this class. And in fact, I don't need to say so much and you will know I appreciate what you have done!

Eng Yau, Thank you for your initiative for providing us the transportation and your great commitment from the begining until the end. Although you don't speak much, but I can see your supports towards TXH. Thanks!

Ka Kiam, Thank you ah, you are the one who is always there to listen to my complains about this & that and then help out to solve the problems. You really looks different from high school time, not saying about your outlook but you have become tougher and stronger in handling from A-Z task. Thank you so much ya! You are the committee who contribute the most in this TXH. Appreciate it!

Pei Choo, Thank you for your support. I know you are passionate to help out in preparing this TXH but just we couldnt even find the time to have a short meeting for discussion. You are too busy with your work, hehe~ Anyway, I am really glad to know you purposely applied for leave and turns up at our TXH. Nice chatting with you through out the night although we rarely see each other through out these years.

Teik Yong, Thanks for your compliment. You are always most welcome and your sms had actually boost up my morale to prepare this TXH. Thank you for your understanding and support!

Ti Ping, I can see your passion towards TXH when I know you arrived at the KTM station 1 hour+ before the exact gather time. Thanks for supporting us with your action and I hope we can see you always during our class gathering.

Zhuang Jing, The most easy going people who will always say ok for whatever arrangement we made and thanks for getting all the tablewares ready for us. I am really happy whenever you are travel with us!

Victor, My great brother beside YY who will always "give face" to his brother and support what his brother does. Another person who doesn't speak much but gives support in action. Although you were not with us, but you still remember to submit your photos for sharing. Thanks ya brother! Hopefully I would see you joining us in TXH in the future.

Hui Ling, Although you are MCC all the time, but at least you are not MCC towards our friendship. You are truly my 青梅竹马 that I know longest in this class. A lot of childhood memories we share together & I think I will never forget in my life. Thanks for applying leave and coming all the way down from Singapore to join our TXH. Thank you ar! Enjoy talking to you because you are just so real and your happy-lucky-go and naive behaviour has actually make me feel "true" whenever I am chatting with you!

Kok Yew, Thanks for your photo sharing. Hope you are doing fine over there at US.

For everyone who turned up at Fraser Hill, Thanks for your time and support towards our TXH. I hope you guys enjoyed it! For me, this is really a very enjoyable gathering and I wish we shall have this kind of gathering trip in the future.

So happy that we have made it into the 7th TXH, somemore at Fraser Hill which I will say is the most different TXH so far. I wish we shall continue our TXH in the future and hopefully everyone will always support the committee by actions to make it works. Till then, see you guys this coming CNY! Hopefully we can have another steambaot gathering during CNY. Anyone interested? Perhaps whoever missed out this TXH can make themselves available that time.
