A retrospective journey to the West

Hi mates,

Wish you all a very happy new year!! This is the first blog I have ever created in my life, thanks to the space provided by the founder of this 5D1 class blog--Eddy. Unquestionably, today I am going to share our photographs in Bath and London as an act of appreciation for his efforts in our class.

Well, the first city to be introduced is The Magnificent London. In the afternoon of the 1st of March 2008, Eddy touched down safely at London Heathrow Airport and everything has gone well. We immediately made our way to Malaysian hall for check-in and began the first day of our trip. After placing our luggages, we hopped on the underground train and headed to a place where all the popular landmarks situated--Westminster. As we have prebooked tickets for a ride on London Eye (The world's biggest ferris wheel, well it was the biggest, but now the biggest one is in Singapore), we quickly rushed to the entrance and managed to get on one of the capsules.

.
After a 30 minutes ride, we walked around the riverbank and took some night shots with a clumsy tripod. Eddy was tired after an 24 hours flight, so we decided to finish the day with an early sleep.
.
Can anyone spot the dark side of the House of Parliament? Is it a measure of energy saving or just simply the stupid guard forgot to switch the lights on?

ZZzzzzz....Snoreeeeee....Eddy was happily in sweetdream and adjusting his biological clock to UK time. In the next morning, we headed to St. Paul's Cathedral because it is one of London's most visited sites. The story behind it? I don't know, sorry. Eddy might know the story as he did some homeworks beforehand.

.
Then, we made our way to Buckingham Palace where Queen Elizabeth II and the royal family live (Prince William and Prince Harry might be in, but we are not their fans). The interesting bit is those guards stand still and marching in front of the palace, here it is.
.
I wonder what he would do if he feels itchy? scratch? don't think so.
.

Were they coming to catch Eddy? Actually not, they are having parade on the street for the celebration of the Queen.

Later in the evening, we had an appointment to meet all world class celebrities, without squeezing in crowd. First to introduce is Eddy's girl friend, here we are.

All the joys and excitement are implied on his face. Must ask Eddy if she is his dream girl? Can anyone guess who is the lady in the picture?

Why there is a lamp post at the middle? Is he a third party or just a pedestrian? Keke..

Eddy was in trouble and he was yelling for help but to no avail, because I know he was acting :p

Can anyone distinguish which one is the Harry Potter? The answer is very obvious.

Be careful eddy, he is a pirate, don't MCC.

Princess Diana : If I have a daughter, I may want him (eddy) to be my son-in-law.

Eddy, don't be naughty. He might want to flip the dress over instead of pressing it down because we are curious about what's inside.

Hehe, there were too many celebrities inside, but I only state a few. They are actually wax sculptures, looked so lively and hard to tell which one is real or fake without touching them. Sometimes, we took a few seconds to figure out if the person in the studio is a sculpture or human being because the sculptures are put randomly in the crowd.

Afterthat, we ended the day with dinner in the chinatown. One of the dishes that we ordered is Crispy Duck (quite similar to Beijing Roast Duck, but this one has meats and drier). Till here for today, thanks for reading. I shall post more photographs up next time if I'm still free. Take care!

Brother!!!! thanks for dedicating your first ever post in your life to me... This is such a big surprise and a great new year present to me. Thanks for sharing this, even myself don't have the time to do this... Really appreciate your time and effort! Can't wait for your next sharing (if you have time to continue, hehe~). But, why just put my pictures? How about the pictures we took together? I went to the world largest ferris wheel in Singapore (Singapore Flyer) 2 weeks ago, but I still think London Eye is the best! yooz!

Mimosa, What he said is really accurate, never know this brother will have such strong memory... haha~ For me, this trip will be engraved in my heart forever :)

Vic,
Actually I never notice that this blog was posted by you at the first time i read (31.12.08). I thought this busy bs really powerful, still have time to post blog.. very "heng1 ho2".. Another reason is because the story line is too smooth.. too clear.. like sharing own life. But, actually one question pop out when I read this blog last few days, "This bs's English became so good de?"... Haha... I got the answer for this question as I click on the blog's comment this morning... wahahahaha...

Chee Yong,

It needs much courage to go for a haircut in Britain, so I only have it once quarterly. You can now imagine how sucks my hair was! :p
